These publicity cards were printed to promote the series and were often given away to fans that contacted the BBC. Each season a new set of postcards were issued. The cards for the first three seasons were in black & white (5.5 x 3.5 inches) and colour for the final season (6 x 4 inches). Each set comprised a group shot of the principle cast and individual shots of the regulars and bore the actors names, the characters names and the appropriate series logo. The fourth set also included an individual postcard of Peter Tuddenham with Orac. A further postcard was given away free to purchasers of the compilation VHS tape, Orac.
