The diecast metal spaceship is sealed within a plastic blister and cardboard pack. The spaceship was made for Corgi by Mettoy Co Ltd, Northampton, UK in 1977 and marketed under its “Corgi Junior” brand. All editions are stamped ©1977 on the underside of the main hull. Width: 101 mm, Depth: 33 mm.
The original white version (Corgi 2) was very accurately painted unlike the metallic blue and Silver & yellow versions. These latter two were originally marketed abroad before being introduced in the United Kingdom. The double pack (Corgi 2512) with the NASA Enterprise was part of a line packaging the NASA shuttles with other craft, including a Buck Rogers Starfighter (Corgi 2538).
The original white version was re-released in 2005 as part of a limited DVD box set of the third season.
